The tournament is a major sporting event in the United States, and it is one of the most popular sporting events in the world.
The 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, from December 10-17, 2023. This will be the first time that the tournament has been held in Indianapolis since 2017.
Tournament Format
The tournament will feature 68 teams from across the country. The teams will be divided into four regions: East, West, South, and Midwest. The teams will be seeded based on their regular-season records and conference championships.
The tournament will begin with the First Four, which is a single-elimination tournament that will be held on December 10-11. The winners of the First Four will advance to the First Round, which will be held on December 13-14. The remaining 64 teams will enter the tournament in the First Round.
The tournament will continue with the Second Round, which will be held on December 15-16. The winners of the Second Round will advance to the Sweet Sixteen, which will be held on December 17-18. The winners of the Sweet Sixteen will advance to the Elite Eight, which will be held on December 19-20. The winners of the Elite Eight will advance to the Final Four, which will be held on December 21-22. The winners of the Final Four will play for the national championship on December 23.
